DOH records 45 new COVID-19 cases, total soars to 187


The Department of Health on Tuesday reported 45 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 187.

In its 4 p.m. medical bulletin, the DOH also reported another Filipino who recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number to four.

The DOH also reported the recovery of another patient, bringing the total number of recoveries recorded in the country to four.

The fourth recovered patient is a 31-year-old Filipino male from Negros Oriental who was confirmed positive on March 9.

He is one of the repatriates from the M/V Diamond Princess Cruise Ship who was tested positive for the disease.

The Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital confirmed that he tested negative twice for Covid-19 and will be discharged within the day. (PNA)
